Sands of Crystal

So, going to a wedding tomorrow and am wearing a 20's style flapper fringed dress in a creamy/beige/goldish colour. I matched everything up including my nails and decided to do something more girly for me.

I used 2 different colours to get here, 2 coats Rimmel Sands of Time and 1 coat of a goldy sheer colour thats label has rubbed off.

Excuse the deformed bump on my middle finger, it's from writing.

They need a little clean up but I'm gonna wait for everything to set.

Also, I tried marbling for the first time the other day and this was the outcome...
Blurry pic, but it's the best I could get at night. I got rid of the mani in about an hour because I didn't like how it worked out.

Update and Enquiries...

So, results... 7 A's 3 B's and a Distinction* :D

Now onto the other stuff.. I've found a little site called Nail Delights which sells all manner of nail supplies for prices that I see as wholly reasonable and rather cheap to be honest - has anyone had any dealings with them?

Also, I was looking into getting some clay canes
  • how are they to use?
  • are they worth the time?
  • And is the special blade necessary to cut them or can I use one that I have at home?
  • I picked the 50pence lucky dip option and am excited to see what I receive.

Water Decals
Presumably simple to use but if anyone has any objections I've love for them to be voiced!

As you were ladies, some new nails coming soon. I can feel an experiment coming on..

Lucky Stars

Soo.. results day is tomorrow so I redid my nails. Star stickers and gems! The stickers messed up a bit when I went over them with my top coat but I am satisfied until I redo them for a wedding this Saturday.

Good luck anyone else who's getting results tomorrow.

Also, I'm thinking of getting Konad image plates- reccs for a starter of where to buy, what to get to start with and cheapest place to buy?

3 steps forward and 3 steps back.

My first post into the blogosphere. Hopefully I can get the ball rolling and some nails updates done. I will be experimenting much more soon, but right now I'll leave some photos of recent designs done in a rush and on a budget with little skill.

Help using blogger is much appreciated too!
